Tasked with designing a suitable garden for a stylish new complex of 72 apartments in Ilkley, the JK Horticulture team were keen to support Adlington Retirement Living with another complete garden design and planting service.
As with all of our “gardens from seed” projects, our team of horticulturists spend time at the beginning of a project to understand the site; from what kind of soil we’re planting in, to typical weather conditions.
We’ve worked with the Adlington team to design a series of gardens that will not only look fantastic, but will also flourish over the coming years.
At the moment, our team is on site in Ilkley installing soft landscape features and planting trees, flowers and foliage according to our current design. But a garden is a living thing that changes with the seasons; which is why we’re looking forward to supporting the Adlington team in maintaining this garden in the future.
We don’t just plant the seeds; we wait to see how they grow, tending new growth and adapting plans as needed. When homeowners are ready to move into The Spindles, they will likely have some thoughts on how the garden might look – and we’re looking forward to supporting the community in creating a garden that works for them.
